Early Childhood Development
(ECD Practitioner)
The NQF Level 4 Further Education and Training Certificate: ECD qualification is the entry-level qualification to become an ECD practitioner. This qualification aims to provide initial ECD practitioners with the necessary skills to facilitate the holistic development of young children (including those children with special needs).
Entrance requirements
Since the language of instruction is English, proficiency in English is compulsory.
Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3, Grade 11 (Std. 9).
A second South African language at NQF Level 2, Grade 10 (Std. 8)
