VTCT Certificate In Beauty , Nails or MakeUp (3 Months Courses)

Who is this qualification for?

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate’s in Beauty, Nails or Make-Up is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed beautician/Nail or Make-up Techniciac. This qualification is based on the beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK’s leading professional bodies (The British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a junior beautician/beauty specialist.
Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 1 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.


Why is this qualification most suitable?

Whilst both qualifications qualify learners to become a junior beautician/nail or make-up technicain, this qualification allows learners to gather evidence in a realistic working environment or real working environment without the need for fee paying clients. In contrast, the VTCT Level 2 certificates in beauty , nail or make-up requires learners to work in a commercial salon whereby assessments must be carried out on real paying clients in line with commercial service times.

COURSE INFORMATION

  • Students should be age 17+
  • Minimum Grade 11 Certificate

·         Provide a Facial Service

·         Apply Make-Up

·         Communication

·         Health and Safety

·         Remove hair using waxing techniques

·         Provide eyelash and brow treatments

·         Salon reception duties

·         Instruction on make-up application

·         Provide threading services for hair removal

·         Provide nail art

·         Display stock to promote sales in a salon
